Machine Configuration
When deploying Polaris and Polaris Pro through the Microsoft Azure offer, you will be asked to configure the underlying resources such as region, resource group, AKS cluster, and extension resource name. The respective cloud provider's standard interface is used for this configuration. For details, refer to the section specific to your cloud provider below.
Azure
Basic Configuration
To deploy Polaris on Azure, follow these steps:
- Subscription: Specify the subscription where the resources will be created.
- Resource Group: Define the resource group for deployment (existing resource groups are allowed).
- Region: Select the Azure region where the resources will be provisioned.
- AKS Cluster: Choose an existing AKS cluster where Polaris Proxy will be deployed.
- Extension Resource Name: Provide a unique name (6-30 lowercase alphanumeric characters) for the Polaris extension.
